Lesley's been DIYing in some fashion or another pretty much all her life.

Her crafty genes were passed down from many generations, though she credits her mother mostly for instilling the love of handmade things. Lesley has worked in theatre and film as anything from costumer to choreographer to caterer, and taught grades preschool through 12th in various artistic areas. She's also a dedicated mom herself, to a six-year-old sheltie mix named Gypsy.

About The Guru:

People are always asking The Guru questions:
-The Guru - how come you know so much?
-The Guru - that was really funny - are you sure you didn't steal that joke from Will and Grace?
-The Guru - we've known each other for a while - can I just call you "The"

Here are the answers.
-The Guru has a crappy day job that doesn't pay very much. To console herself, she spends 90% of her time at work surfing the 'net, absorbing knowledge for her own satisfaction and the good of mankind.
-The Guru is much smarter than that. She steals her jokes from obscure sources who are unlikely to sue, such as standup comics, and Oscar Wilde.
-Not if you want an answer. The Guru is a title, just like "Your Royal Highness". In England, people used to be beheaded for failing to address the king/queen as Your Royal Highness. The Guru is much more compassionate. She will simply ignore you.
